Why are we called Flamigo?
Behind every name, there’s a story — and in our case, a rather unique one.
Flamigo is not just a brand; it’s a nod to our way of working and our way of seeing the world: with balance, closeness, and a touch of cleverness.
It combines “flamenco” (the long-legged pink bird), “amigo” (because we want to be a trusted ally to our clients), and — interestingly — the fact that in German, “Flamingo” means exactly that: flamingo.
This linguistic coincidence particularly amused Robert, our founder not only great vision… but also a meaningful personal story.
In that story, he relates to the flamingo, calmly standing on one leg — balanced and resilient.
During a team gathering, someone joked about the comparison, and the comment just stuck.
What began as a spontaneous laugh ended up giving its name to a project built on balance, sustainability, and closeness.
Flamigo is an initiative within Thermoaqua, a company specialized in renewable energy — particularly solar panels, efficient climate control, and sustainable heating systems.
Our mission is clear: to deliver cutting-edge technology for a cleaner, more comfortable, and more responsible future.
